The International Schools Examinations Syndicate (ISES), founded in the mid-1960s by a group of educators from the International School of Geneva (Ecolint), later evolved into the International Baccalaureate Office (IBO), the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), and finally the International Baccalaureate (IB)
At first, the International Baccalaureate Organization was referred to as IB. Its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland, it is a non-profit corporation. IB places a strong emphasis on its motto, "Truth and Knowledge." IB offers the following four educational programmes for children of different ages:
Children between the ages of 3 and 12 years participate in this programme starting their educational journey. They start to take an active role in their education.
The curriculum in this program consists of 3 parts mainly-
Middle Years Programme (MYP) students must be between the ages of 11 and 16. Students are prompted to make meaningful connections between their academics and the outside world by the MYB's rigorous structure.
The students in this programme must be between the ages of 16 and 19. It focuses on creating pupils who have a broad knowledge base and a deeper understanding of subjects. It benefits students who are flourishing intellectually, emotionally, physically, and ethically.
The Career-Related Programme (CP) of the International Baccalaureate is designed for students between the ages of 16 and 19. This programme is an international educational framework that caters to the needs of students who desire to pursue education that is career-related. The programme then moves on to apprenticeships, jobs, and higher education.
