DAV Public School was established as early as in 1995 through a joint effort made by the Arya Samajis and renowned intellectuals of Simdega The school was started in Anand Bhawan (Dharmshala) on rental basis under the banner of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. After one and half years the school got a permanent premise with an area of 13. 46 acres of land at Tukupani, 4 Km from Simdega towards Rourkela, taken on generous donors’ grant from Shri Prem Shankar Prasad. This paved the way to the creation of an institution dedicated to the enhancement of education in Simdega. DAV Public School started its functioning in academic year 2008-09 and it grew up every succeeding academic year by one class each. It still holds its main function as an institution where children come to learn and grow in every aspect of their being. Located in a calm and peaceful environment, it has all the basic and necessary facilities such as well-ventilated classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and abundant opportunities for overall co-curricular achievements and sports.
