Jogeshwari Education Society (JES) is an esteemed institute that has been a part of the training and educational scenario for the past 89 years. JES was started in 1932 by Mr. S. G. Warty as a small establishment in a house belonging to Saraswati Baug in three rooms and initially admitted 16 students. Its motto, ‘Sheelam Param Bhushanam”, means ‘Education alone is the best ornament of a man implying the commitment to the cause of Education the society cherishes. JES has expanded much further over the decades. Currently the trust runs school and colleges such as Marathi Medium Primary School, Arvind Gandbhir High School with Marathi and Semi English Medium, JES English School junior and degree college. Arvind Gandbhir High School became a high school in 1953 and the existing structure of buildings erected gradually with time due to expansion necessities. In the year 2008 JES founded a Junior College of Commerce and Science subsequently has evolved into an institute of excellence. The college presently houses various courses such as B. Com, BMS, B. Sc IT, and BAF and remains a major focal point for learning and identity formation.
