Loreto Convent Intermediate College is situated in Lucknow and was established in 1872 The school is under the administrative of the sisters of Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary commonly known as the Loreto Sisters. It is a religious Institute founded by Mary Ward, an English woman in 1616 for the education of girls. Strengthened in the eighteenth century it spread throughout Europe and England and was introduced in Ireland by Frances Teresa Ball in 1821 who gave the first house the name Loreto The Loreto Sisters arrived in India in 1841 and started opening schools in the east and in the northern part of the country. Loreto Convet Intermediate College is a girl’s school whose main objective is to provide education to girls of all religions. The objectives of the school include offering a sound moral education and developing comradeship, manners and courtesy, emotional well being, sound physique, and spiritual development of the learners. Loreto Convent therefore strives to provide sincere and comprehensive work and thinking environments; it guarantees that it offers the pupils the best. These are among the ages that have long anchored this school as a distinguished institution with the noble aim of effectively fashioning the holistic young girl.
