Sri Sathya Sai Institute Of Educare School
Following Swami’s eternal command to the State Presidents, India, Late Mr. P G Achuthanandam, Former State President, Tamilnadu sent a circular to all the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithis in Tamil Nadu to start the Sri Sathya Sai Balagurukulam schools, a new institutional dimension as a part of the Sri Sathya Seva Organization based on Educare wherever possible. Due to the dedicated effort and devotion of the Chromepet Samithi Members, Sri Sathya Sai Bala Gurukulam at Chromepet was born on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami in the year 1978. Initially, it was run from a rented tiled house with just 40 students. Women members of the Samithi volunteered to work as teachers. The following year (1979), saw the strength of the student body increase to 90 students. The school was then shifted to the Samithi Bhajan center, a rented building with a light roof.
