Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium Primary School, founded by the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association, started on 29.06.1982 in remembrance of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a freedom fighter. The college is a private unaided institution; it was started in 1982 with the permission of the Marathi Medium primary school situated on Zerode Highway with 120 students and three teachers. Mrs Sulabha Sule, recognized as a key personality in the history of the school along with the first woman principal of the school, Mrs Shobhana Bijoor conceptualized the expansion and progress of the institution. Since 1994, Mrs. Amita Bhide has been heading the Primary Section with commitment, and from the year 1999, Mrs. Sharada Limaye took up the position of the Principal of the Secondary Section. Together, their leadership played a very big role in transforming the school into what it is today; a school that aims at offering quality education while at the same time, empowering the students personality. Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium Primary School maintains the standards and practices of an academic and character-filled educational institution that nurtures success in all aspects of the students lives.
