By the end of the first year, there was thirty boarding students enrolled and twenty day scholars. In 1941 the new Grade 5 was incorporated into the program while the number of students increased throughout 1945. In the same year, the school banner was first displayed in the Games March Past, having the motto ‘'From Strength to Strength'. In the subsequent years Welham Preparatory School was developed into one of the leading preparatory schools, admitting even more students and with enlarging facilities. This has made it famous for its academic standards, personnel, and educational enhancement of the learners.
