The flame of struggle for independence lit by Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji was kept burning by Satguru Partap Singh Ji till the country achieved its independence. During partition thousands of Sikhs had left in Pakistan and to rescue them, Satguru Partap Singh Ji struggled a lot. After partition of India , Sri Satguru Partap Singh Ji supported them and set up the village Sri Jiwan Nagar for those Sikhs who lost their shelters during the partition and provided lands to landless tillers for their survival and livelihood . Further, to catter the basic needs of education, he started Sri Guru Hari Singh Senior Secondary School at Sri Jiwan Nagar in 1957. After Sri Satguru Partap Singh Ji, Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji enthroned to proceed Satguru Partap Singh Ji’s preachings and desires and established Sri Guru Hari Singh college, a centre for higher education, in 1983 at Sri Jiwan nagar. He was great visionary and lover of mankind. He was solicitous for his disciples to advance with in contemporary scenario of science and technology which he ultimately tried by gifting such a well equipped, modernized and eco –friendly school by the name Satguru Partap Singh International school.
