A BRIEF It was the 1950’s when Bokaro Steel Plant started extraction of iron and steel and Bokaro started blooming but Chas was the most neglected area. The people of Chas were deprived of quality education. Some intellectual personalities of Marwari Samaj tried to bring a change and decided to start a school that would provide education to the middle-class and down-trodden community.In 1970, it started its glorious journey with only a few students in a small classroom and a handful of teachers. With time the school earned popularity and became a great institution. From 1970 to 1991 it emphasized on the upper primary classes. The institution was affiliated by CBSE, New Delhi in the year 1992 up to the secondary level. Thereafter, it also affiliated by CBSE, New Delhi upto senior secondary level. With the growing time , ADARSH VIDYA MANDIR , has reached to the zenieth in the education sector not only in Chas but also in Bokaro district . Over the years the excellence of the great institution has kept the society mesmerised as this institution has taken up the noble work of uplifting the marginalised society and bring them to light .
