The large piece of land that houses the school has been provided by many people, especially landowners and citizens. Significantly, H. E. Lady Vicar-Ul-Umra contributed 89 acres of land from her Begumpet Estate. Thus, for constructing school buildings, development of infrastructure and free education for the sons of Jagirdars (landlords), the government levied two percent cess on the annual income of Jagirdars. This kind of arrangement safeguards the interest of Jagirdars with the idea that they can afford to pay the school fees of their children without having to break the bank. Currently, The Hyderabad Public School has actively stuck to its aims and objectives of creating the conducive environment and circumstances for students’ educational development.

Ms Amrita Chandra Raju, Principal, The Hyderabad Public School, is a post graduate gold medallist in English Lang and Literature. She has been an educationist for more than 30 years, 27 of which have been spent essaying different roles from being a teacher of English to being the Chief Editor of the School Magazine, Shaheen, to Coordinating all School Events, to heading the Dept to assuming office as the Vice Principal and now the Principal of The HPS. She has been a special invitee to the 10th World Teachers’ Conclave in Dornach, Switzerland and a popular panellist at several discussions on educational philosophy.
