The original promoters of the society are Mr. Vilas Shankar Pawar and Mrs. Shobhana Vilas Pawar and they felt that the problems with the lack of municipal schools in the remote Bhatwadi area were resulting in children having to travel long distances for education that included English medium. To fill the above void, they began Saraswati Vidya Mandir (English Medium) in their home with a few students only. This school started as a primary school but has grown modern in its setting and experiences to be one of the prestigious schools to provide quality education. There can be no doubt that the school still adheres to the main objectives laid down at its establishment, to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds, the education and the chance they are entitled to. Thus, with the devoted teachers and a progressive learning climate at Saraswati Vidya Mandir the school successfully focuses on students’ lives.
