Mrs. Grant achieved the rare feat of completing her graduation at an extremely young age of 16, before starting her career as a high school teacher. She taught in several reputed institutions before fulfilling her dream of opening The Scholar High School.13 January 1961 was the day that The Scholar High School first opened its doors to just 40 students in The Advent building at Foreshore Road. Today, the school has around 550 students from Standard 1 to 10. The school was recently honouredwith the Certificate of Achievement from Education Today for completing 50 plus successful years in Education for exemplary contribution to the field in September 2017.Through the years, the school shifted locations in Colaba until finally it found its home at Henry Road, Colaba – where it has been for more than 40 years.
